Refund and Cancellation Policy

Every story is free to read before you pay anything, so you can judge the product in full first. Here is what happens when you want your money back anyway.

Last updated 12 September 2026

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account, or by writing to contact@say-able.com. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for — you keep access until that period ends, and your saved stories stay on your shelf while it runs.

Refunds

Annual plans

A full refund within 14 days of the first payment on an annual plan, for any reason. Write to us within that window and we will refund the whole amount.

Monthly plans

We do not refund the current month by default, because cancelling already stops the next charge and every story is readable for free before you subscribe. If you were charged for a month you did not intend to start, tell us — see below.

Always refunded

  • A duplicate charge, or more than one charge for the same period.
  • A charge after you had already cancelled.
  • A renewal you did not intend, where you had not used the service in that period.
  • A period we could not deliver — a prolonged outage, or a change that materially reduced what your plan offered.

These are not exhaustive. If you think a charge was wrong, write to us and describe it. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue about it.

How to request one

Email contact@say-able.com from the address on the account, or include that address in your message — it is the only detail we need to find the payment. Please do not send card details; we cannot accept them.

How long it takes

  • We reply to refund requests within 2 working days.
  • Approved refunds are submitted to Razorpay within 3 working days of approval.
  • The money reaches your original payment method in a further 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. That last step is outside our control.

Refunds always go back to the method that was charged. We cannot redirect one to a different card or account.

Partial periods and upgrades

Moving from monthly to annual takes effect at your next renewal, so you are never charged twice for overlapping time. We do not pro-rate a partial month.

If your payment fails

We may suspend paid features until a renewal succeeds. Nothing on your shelf is deleted because of a failed payment, and it is all there again when payment goes through.
